OAKTON CREW 2025-26 TEAM REGISTRATION INFORMATION
2025-26 membership dues: $2150 online. Click here for information about how dues are determined, what they pay for, and how these funds are carefully and closely managed by the OCCBC Board of Directors (all parents of current team members). We work hard to keep dues as low as possible to try to ensure that participating in OHS crew is possible for all student-athletes. If membership dues are a financial hardship for your family, please contact treasurer@oaktoncrew.com to discuss options available to athletes who qualify, including a limited number of scholarships.
This year we are offering several ways to pay membership dues:
Payments, single or multiple if early in the season, can be paid upon registration for the entire season:
online payment by credit card online HERE
Optional expenses later in the season:
Team charter bus transportation between OHS and Sandy Run during spring practice season. Cost to be determined and will partially depend on the number of families who choose this option (vs. private carpools)
Stotesbury Cup Regatta - May 14 - 16, 2026: All crew team athletes are welcome and encouraged to attend. Select boats will qualify to compete. Family members are also encouraged to come, support the team, and experience the largest high school regatta in the world. Athlete cost for 2026: $TBD (includes bus, hotel, and meals)
SRAA Nationals - May 21 - 23, 2026: For seated boat members and alternates in qualifying boats only (as determined by placement in Virginia State Rowing Championships). Families are also encouraged to come, support the team, and watch their athletes compete in “Nats.” Athlete cost for 2026: $TBD (includes bus, hotel, and meals)
Volunteering and fundraising: student athletes and their families are expected to support the team by volunteering and participating in fundraising activities.
Fundraising: There is no individual fundraising requirement. Student-athletes and families are strongly encouraged to participate in several fundraising events throughout the year.
Volunteering: each OHS Crew family is required to fill at least one volunteer shift with Oakton Crew and one volunteer shift with VASRA. These shifts include a wide variety of options. Additional volunteer duties will be required if an athlete participates in a travel regatta. Parents can also volunteer to serve on the OCCBC Board of Directors if they are interested.
