2025-2026 TEAM CAPTAINS
MEN’S CAPTAIN: Graham Spence
WOMEN’S CAPTAIN: Aanya Deval
I’ve been part of Oakton Crew for four years, and this season I’m proud to serve as one of your captains. I’m a varsity coxswain, which means I steer the boat, call race strategy, and help keep the crew focused and fired up. I love the intensity of race day, the discipline of early practices, and the way crew turns teammates into family. When I’m not on the water, you’ll probably find me curating playlists or listening to music that keeps me grounded. Crew has taught me leadership, resilience, and dedication. I’m excited to help lead this team through another unforgettable season.
MEN’S CAPTAIN: Mason Kang
Hi, my name is Mason. I have been a member of Oakton Crew for the past four years and a coxswain for the last two to three years. I first got involved in the sport by participating in a summer session with Resilient Rowing, and I fell in love with rowing after that one summer. I truly enjoy being on the water and spending hours each day surrounded by my teammates. Last year, I led my boat, the Junior 4, to a third-place finish at states and the opportunity to compete at nationals. This year, I’m excited to see where the program goes and how I can lead and set an example as a captain for my fellow rowers.
