Oakton Crew is a club sport, which means we receive no funding from Oakton High School or from FCPS. Crew runs entirely on the support of dedicated team members and their families, through fundraising and other donations, as well as from the support of our wonderful local business community.
How can you help?
OCCBC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations are fully tax deductible. Crew organizes fundraising drives throughout the season to ensure we have the funds to keep our boats rowing, and we also welcome donations year round! Corporations wishing to support Oakton Crew are invited to contact our Fundraising Vice President to discuss options for promoting your business while also supporting the men and women of our crew team.
Donate your time in one of the many volunteer tasks needed throughout the year. We detail volunteer needs on our Twitter feed, through Sign-Up Genius forms on our website, and each week various opportunities are described in the Monday Catch. In addition, the OCCBC Board is made up of parents volunteering their time to help the Club, and we are always looking for assistance, whether it's running logistics, painting oars, organizing a pasta party, or setting up tables for the hospitality tent at a regatta. Contact our Communications VP with your interests, and we'll set you up with the right people to get started!
