These are the concession jobs at the school for basketball games as part of our support of the Oakton Athletic Boosters (who help support the crew team). Regatta concession jobs are described in the regatta section.

The early shift (freshman game) comes 1/2 hour early to get set up. They need to open the concession stand, set everything up, begin the grilling and set up the warmers, pop popcorn, heat the nachos, order the pizza etc. They work until the game is over (usually there is a little overlap between groups of volunteers)

The second group comes 15 minutes before the game and continues what the first group started. Grilling more burgers and dogs as needed and making sure everything is replenished. They also work until the end of the game.

The third group comes 15 minutes before the game and sells but usually does not grill after half time is over. They are responsible for cleaning up (including the popcorn machine, nachos, crockpot and grill tray) and re-stocking the drinks etc, storing the grill away. By the end of the game they should be about ready to close and lock everything up. None of it is hard.

Counter Worker

Behind the counter just sells and restocks items

Grill Worker

is responsible for grilling burgers and hotdogs (wear a coat because you are outside)

Runner

Runs - get this and that depending on what everyone needs, also taking grilled products from the outside to the inside and vice versa.
